First smell is a smoky scent reminiscent of a barrel aged whisky. That burnt wood also comes in the flavour of the beer pushing the usual thought of golden ales right out. Allow it some time to breathe and it’s much more palatable. This should be drunk while in some dark, dimly lit, trendy hipster whisky bar located under the street level of some back alleyway with no name and no idea how you get back to finding it ever again.
