Rated the best beer in the world and brewed by Belgium monks, I’ll admit I was nervous to pop the top off this one. What if it didn’t live up to the hype? On first sip a beautiful combination of sweet biscuit malts, toffee sweetness and warming alcohol splashed around my mouth and paved a warming sensation down my throat into my soul. From the first sip alone I get why it’s considered number one in the craft beer world. A beautifully crafted strong ale that will have you questioning your believes, donning the brown robes of the Trappist monks and singing choral hymns before the glass is empty.
