Bell’s – Two Hearted Ale

I often think back to what first drew me to IPAs. Sierra Nevada Torpedo IPA and Ballast Point Big Eye. Both malty, hoppy goodness. Stone Brewing and Brew Dog bringing hops to the forefront.

Brewery: Bell’s in Comstock, Michigan, USA

Style: IPA

ABV: 7%

Rate Beer: 100/100

Pour: Sparkling golden colour with a big foaming white head.

I often think back to what first drew me to IPAs. Sierra Nevada Torpedo IPA and Ballast Point Big Eye. Both malty, hoppy goodness. Stone Brewing and Brew Dog bringing hops to the forefront. Falling in love with that big West Coast IPA flavour. Resin pine and grapefruit. Light malt body. It was just great drinking beers. And the higher ABV have it the kick you wanted. Couple of beers and you’re nicely toasted. This harkens back to those early days of craft beer exploration. Smooth with a grapefruit finish. Heavy yet light at the same time. A delicious drinking beer. I could wax lyrical like this for ages, but we all know we don’t come to this site of mine for essays. The beer is good and if you find it here in Australia, get it. Or if you over in the States, buy it and drink it. Enough said.

I drink beer. And occasionally I'll write about it. But mostly, I drink beer.
