Tasting Notes
Copper red colour with a good white head. Has that familiar IPA aroma with notes of pine, floral and citrus. The beer has a drying flavour similar to traditional Irish red ales. I’m bot sure if this is an imperial red IPA or an imperial red ale. Both could apply. There is a hoppy bitterness that makes you think IPA but the dry almost tart flavour is more akin to a Irish Red. Either way, it’s a damn good beer for a cool and wet winter evening. I feel this will lead onto a nice peaty, smoky scotch to top of the night before bed.
