Tasting Notes
Amber golden colour with a big white head. A malty grain sweetness aroma at first followed by floral almost peppery scent. Sugary sweet at first but at the same time dry and smooth. A rich flavour with subtle hop bitterness and a relatively clean finish for a beer this complex. Originally Maibocks were brewed in May leading into the northern hemisphere summer months, this works well around late August/early September in Australia. Cool nights but warm days. A setting sun and this beer to warm you up before firing up the fire pit for one of the last times before Summer approaches.
