Brewery: Paulaner in Munich, Germany Style: Hefeweizen ABV: 5.5% IBUs: 16 Rate Beer: 90/100 Pour: Cloudy golden yellow with a big white head on pour. Sweet, bready malt aroma. Big hit of banana and sweet pastry on the tongue. A true German Hefeweizen designed to be drunk during Oktoberfest celebrations. Coming in a big 500ml, it […]
Brewery: Weihenstephaner in Bavaria, Germany Style: Alcohol free Hefeweizen ABV: 0.5% IBUs: 14 Rate Beer: 12/100 Pour: Cloudy yellow with a big white head. A Dry July experiment to see if there is such a thing as a good non-alcoholic beer. This has some resemblance to a hefeweizen. The banana/clove yeasty flavours make this almost seem […]

They have a large core range of beers and rotating seasonal brews, and like what I’ve found in most breweries in America, well priced for beers. These guys don’t mess around with their flights either. 8 come in the flight!

Brewery: Erdinger Weissbrau in Bayern, Germany Style: Weissbier/Hefeweizen ABV: 5.3% RateBeer: 43/100 Pour: Crystal yellow colour with a big fluffy head. Oktoberfest is on and it would be remiss of me to not have a few German ales to celebrate. Crisp and clean wheat beer that’s perfect to have with a giant pork schnitzel and that weird boiled cabbage crap the Germans eat.
