Brewery: Pirate Life in Port Adelaide, South Australia Style: Sour ABV: 3.5% Rate Beer: no rating yet Pour: Pink hue with a small white head that fades off quickly First up, I was expecting this to have a more blue colour but never mind. A big, hoppy pale ale in the vein of Sierra Nevada’s classic pale ale
Roasted smokiness with a hop flavour you don’t normally expect in a dark ale
First thing I notice is this the first time Pirate Life haven’t listed the ingredients around the top of the can.
A single hop IPA that went from limited edition into the regular core range. Mosaic hops are a staple in American style IPAs but rarely does it get to shine on its own like this.
Sweet, stone citrus fruits but not much haze which I guess is the point in the name. All the characteristics of a New England IPA but quite clear in the glass.
