Located in the beautiful Southern Highlands, about two hours south west of Sydney is Southern Highlands Brewing. Being a small country town, Southern Highlands Taproom is the centrepiece. Located right on the Main Street, this is a popular spot for beers and lunch for locals and travellers alike. The taproom house all the core range plus one seasonal and one invitational tap giving you 9 options plus select cans, wine and cocktails. The menu is a mix of share plate pub classics, burgers and mains that include steak, salmon, pasta and roast lunches on Sundays. All the beers are made down the road which also houses their homebrew shop so they really are the kingpins of beer in Moss Vale.
There’s plenty of seating inside and out the front on the veranda but I’d recommend booking a table if you plan to come for lunch or dinner. On my visit I grabbed a tasting paddle and also tried their original American Pale Ale and their Euro Lager ‘Firken Helles’. The red ale on nitro is also highly recommended.
