Pirate Life – Belgian Black IPA

Pirate Life in Port Adelaide, South Australia

Belgian Black IPA

Tasting Notes

Deep dark brown to black in colour with a small white head. There’s a distinct roast notes on the nose. It’s quite a hoppy flavour with some toasted malt bitterness. Quite a clean and crisp beer which defies what the beer style suggests it will be. I was expected more traditional Belgian flavours but instead this is a straight up black IPA. Paired with a good Chinese meal and relaxing evening.

I drink beer. And occasionally I'll write about it. But mostly, I drink beer.
